So I contacted the GM service department and was informed that the vehicle needs the original key with a chip set imbedded in the key - I had a copy Not the original key from the manufacturer GM; I requested an original key so I can drive my car. No buyer be ware my problem- so they say... I contacted my lien holder and told them the vehicle is non operable and to come pick it up - It took the loan company 6 months to tow it away. I was the owner of this vehicle, I kept it in excellent condition, oil changes, brakes tires as needed.; at time of purchase no disclosures of the status on the VATS for GM vehicles (some makes and models were recalled for the identical problem/defect known by GM BUT not my auto) I signed a contract to pay for a vehicle that I could drive, I paid for warranty and the parts were not covered in the warranty $2000.00 financed with the purchase of the vehicle. So who ever is driving this vehicle let it be known I paid, purchased and maintained this car. I was told by the GM mechanics that even if I replaced the parts that this would happen again, So who ever is driving this vehicle - let it be known you may get locked out. |
